As if she could really get much better or easier as a child not yet three months old, it seems Sophia has either hit a growth spurt or really gotten comfortable. She is frequently eating her full four ounce bottle and sleeping 3-4 hours during the day and 4-6 hours at night. The six hour stretches are pretty rare, but just knowing their in there is nice.
One of my favorite parts of the day is when Sophia's been up to eat around 5am or so. When that happens, the wife just puts her on my side / the middle of the bed and they both go back to sleep. Seeing them both lying there so peaceful like that is quite a nice way to start your day.
My workout was better last night, and I intentionally pushed myself harder than I had the last couple of nights. I've found that I can focus more (I think) when watching tv, and sporting events in particular. I started watching this year's Auburn-UGA football game on DVD and it really was easy to work to, which was a surprise. I suspect that I'll be dredging up old games (college and pro) as well as many of the old races I have on tape for just the same reason. Each should provide about three workouts worth of material.
Next, I may try watching the sporting stuff but listening to my iPod. I've tried listening to iTunes in my office from my PC, but it seems that I'm easily distracted without the headphones in my ears.
What's really funny is that I have 11,000 songs in my iPod and over 18,000 on my pc, yet I can't pick what to listen to for an hour a night. Random shuffle is just too random for me, and I've already run thru the U2 and 3 Doors Down collections. If you have some suggestions for workout music, I'm all for it. I need something.
Not much else going on other than packing and planning for another Friday trip to Mayberry, complete with the hauling of 500 pounds of shit. And hopefully it won't fit just right, so we can twist and turn and move it a whole bunch, then we'll find that the only way it'll fit is if we put the seats down, meaning that I have to drive about four hours round trip with the seat four inches too close to the steering wheel a'la Jack Nicholson in "As Good As It Gets."
Good times, people.
Anyway, hope you have a nice morning. I'll talk to you soon.
