Well, despite a less than motivated workout last night, I am still going six days a week, 3.5 mph or so for 60-75 minutes at 6 to 6.5 degrees of incline on the treadmill. I have also taken to wearing wrist weights. I wore 1.5 pounders for a few days and have switched to 2.5 pounders, although the bigger ones make a HUGE difference, believe it or not.
Also, I've bought a used BowFlex. I know you're all gasping, but it had to be done. My weight loss has slowed or stopped altogether, and the next logical step is to do some lifting.
Yes, I know. I never thought I'd say it either. But I've enjoyed this over the last few months and I think if I can lift for 30 minutes in the morning before work and then walk after the kids are in bed, I can really start seeing a difference.
Anyway, I wish I had more for today. I do know that THE 500 is only 18 days away and that alone has me pretty fired up. I am looking forward to racedays with the girls as well as the younger urchin sleeping more and (imagine this) NAPPING sometimes.
