So yesterday, after a LONG day for Lauren (since she got up at 5:30am to see me off) that included some Dimetap, a nap, the requisite peeing on the sofa late in nap, and an early bedtime by about half an hour .

That was followed by her getting up not once but twice for "I'm cold" and "I'm scared."

sigh...

Finally she slept, but she was stirring as I tiptoed out of the houe at 5:45am. And apparently got up at 6:05am by screaming "MOMMY!!!!" right in my sleeping wife's ear.

(That actually would have been funny to witness since I was already up).

Urchin 2.0 ate about 11:05pm last night and I told the wife "what do you bet she's up to eat again at 4:40am, so that by the time she's done, I can't go back to sleep?"

And what time did Sophia wake up to eat this morning?

Four fucking forty.


You know, when you talk to folks that have two kids or more and they say "Well, you know...it's always something," you should believe them. Because it is...always...something.
